Crossroads Community Church is a family of people who follow Jesus Christ. As a family, we share life together and seek ways to live out our Christ-directed mission in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible encourages us that we are each God’s masterpiece and that He has already planned good things for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). We invite you to join with us as we discover the goodness God has designed for us as individuals, our greater Vernon community (and beyond), and the Christ-centered family we call Crossroads Community Church. To learn more, visit us on a Sunday morning or check out all the ways we do life together.

At Crossroads, we welcome all who wish to worship with us, no matter where they are on their spiritual journey. From contemporary music and relevant Bible-based teaching to engaging children’s programs and a casual family atmosphere, all that we do is focused on meeting individuals where they are and helping them grow in faith to become fruitful followers of Christ. A part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Crossroads has been serving the Vernon area since 2001.

Our Logo Tells Our Story!

First: The Dark

The darker grey outer color forms arrows pointing inward toward the center. This represents individuals from all walks of life coming from the darkness of not knowing God into the journey of seeking Him. It’s less about where we come from and more about where we’re headed…the center.

Ephesians 2

“Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that we have been saved!).”Ephesians 2:1-5 (NLT)

Second: The Center

The “crossroads” that changes us is actually the cross of Jesus Christ! When he created us, God intended for us to be in perfect relationship with Him and with each other. When Adam and Eve rejected God, however, humanity was separated from God. Around 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ was crucified on a cross so that we could once again live at peace with God and be reconciled to Him. Because of Jesus’ death, our sins can be forgiven…and all we have to do is receive this free gift through faith in Jesus Christ! God’s perfect love is ready and willing to fill our lives and make us whole. The death of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection from the dead change our lives in significant ways.

Colossians 1

“He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions.”Colossians 1:12-14; 19-21 (NLT)

Third: The Change

Notice that from the center, the color becomes bright and vibrant. Our identity is gone and our new identity is here. This is what God does in our lives through the Holy Spirit in the moment we first trust God’s good news to us through Jesus Christ! As God makes us new in His image, He changes us! We are filled with His hope, His love for humanity, and His direction for our lives.

Galatians 2

“I [now] live for God. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”Galatians 2:19-20 (NLT)

Fourth: The Direction

With the cross of Christ at our center, we are changed, renewed, and redirected. Jesus Himself is still at work in our world today, and He invites us to join Him on His mission. The outward facing arrows represent this mission. As we walk out our lives united together with Jesus and with each other, we help spread the good news of faith, hope, and love to our families, communities, and the world. This is what the Crossroads family of faith is all about!

Matthew 28

“Jesus came and told his disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”Matthew 28:18-20

Acts 1

“[Jesus replied], ‘You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’”Acts 1:8
