We invite you to join us for one of our upcoming Sunday services! Before you decide to check us out, though, we wanted to give you an idea of what you can expect…

Where does Crossroads meet?

Our facility is located at 38 E. Main St. in downtown Rockville (see map). There’s plenty of parking available behind the building and in the adjacent lot.

How should I dress?

Crossroads is a laid-back bunch with dressing casually when they attend our services and events (jeans are fine!). We want everyone to be comfortable and relaxed…so feel free to come as you are!

What should I expect when I arrive?

When you arrive, you can expect to be greeted warmly at the door. Our greeters will give you a program and show you around, introducing you to a few folks so you feel at home. You’ll also be invited to fill out a welcome card so that we can follow up with you, thank you for visiting, and invite you to an upcoming newcomers dinner. Don’t worry…we won’t bug you or share your information with anyone!

What’s a typical Sunday service like?

Our service begins with some brief announcements about upcoming events at Crossroads. We then move into a time of prayer and contemporary musical worship with our worship band. We pass a basket to collect our tithes and offerings during the first worship song, but there’s no pressure to give. After 3-4 songs, the children will be dismissed to kids church.

Next, we’ll spend a few minutes in prayer together as a church family. This prayer time is led by a rotating group of individuals who each bring a different style and format, sometimes asking individuals in the congregation to share praises or prayer requests (this is, of course, entirely voluntary!). You’ll then hear a great 25-30 minute Bible-based teaching from our Pastor Eric Osterday (or an occasional guest speaker). Our service usually ends with a brief prayer and/or a song. On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate Communion together.

If you have a Bible, feel free to bring it…but we also have Bibles you can borrow or even take home with you. We also highly recommend one of several free Bible apps for your smartphone (YouVersion has a great one with many different Bible translations and resources included).

What will my kids do during the service?

Our Nursery is available to welcome your youngest kids (birth to pre-K) for the entire service. School-age children (kindergarten through fifth grade) will participate in the beginning of the service and will be dismissed to a special Kids Church time after our musical worship time. We invite middle and high school students to remain in the full service.
